These Terms of Service apply to your use of The Magic Systems Grimoire website and your purchase and use of The Magic Systems Grimoire.
The Magic Systems Grimoire is created and provided by Claudia Burnett, based in Namibia.
The Magic Systems Grimoire is published under the pen name Claudia Burnett and is operated by Michael Awe.
By purchasing or using the Grimoire, you agree to these Terms.

The Magic Systems Grimoire is a digital reference book containing 50 fully developed magic systems.
The product is supplied as a digital PDF. No physical book is included unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Product descriptions, previews, page counts, features, and pricing shown on the website form part of the information provided to you before purchase.
2. Payment and checkout
Purchases are processed through Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record.
Gumroad processes payments, applicable transaction taxes, receipts, refunds, and related payment matters according to its own terms and policies.
The final amount payable will be shown during checkout before you complete your purchase.
3. Digital delivery
The Grimoire is delivered digitally after successful payment.
You are responsible for providing a valid email address and for keeping access to your purchase and downloaded files secure.

The Grimoire comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Read it, explore it, and use it. If you are not happy with the book, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase.
To request a refund, email [email protected] using the email address associated with your order and provide enough information for the purchase to be identified.
Approved refunds will be processed through Gumroad.
This guarantee does not limit any additional rights you may have under applicable law.
5. Your licence to use the Grimoire
Your purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use The Magic Systems Grimoire.
You may:
- Read and use the Grimoire for your own personal or professional creative work.
- Draw inspiration from, adapt, combine, and remix ideas from the magic systems when creating your own fictional worlds, stories, games, characters, or other creative works.
- Use ideas inspired by the Grimoire in commercial creative projects.
- Print a copy of the PDF for your own personal use.
You do not need to credit The Magic Systems Grimoire simply because your own original magic system was inspired by concepts explored in the book.
6. What you may not do
Your purchase does not transfer ownership of the Grimoire itself, its text, artwork, illustrations, design, or other original material.
You may not:
- Share or distribute the PDF with other people.
- Upload the PDF or substantial portions of it to file-sharing services, websites, communities, databases, or public repositories.
- Resell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise redistribute the Grimoire.
- Reproduce or republish its written content as your own reference book, guide, article, database, or similar product.
- Reproduce, sell, redistribute, or commercially use the book's illustrations, wizard characters, graphic elements, or page designs as standalone assets.
- Purchase one copy for distribution to a group, team, class, company, or community without separate permission.
One purchase is intended for one person's use unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Intellectual property
The Magic Systems Grimoire, including its original text, illustrations, characters, graphic elements, layout, branding, and other creative material, is owned by or licensed to Claudia Burnett and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
The permission to draw from and adapt the ideas and concepts in the Grimoire for your own creative work does not give permission to copy or redistribute the book's protected expression, artwork, or other original material.
8. Creative results
The Grimoire is intended as a source of reference, entertainment, inspiration, and creative exploration.
No particular writing, publishing, commercial, creative, or other result is guaranteed by purchasing or using it.
You remain responsible for deciding how ideas from the Grimoire are incorporated into your own work and for ensuring that your finished work complies with any laws or third-party rights that apply to you.
9. Availability and changes
Reasonable efforts will be made to keep purchased digital content accessible through the delivery methods provided at the time of purchase.
The website, delivery systems, product presentation, or supporting services may be updated, modified, or discontinued from time to time.
Downloading and securely storing your purchased copy is recommended.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Claudia Burnett will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of the website or the Grimoire.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, total liability relating to a purchase will, to the fullest extent permitted by law, be limited to the amount you paid for that purchase.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
11. Third-party services
The website and purchasing process may rely on third-party services, including Gumroad, Plausible Analytics, and Meta.
Those services are governed by their own terms and policies where applicable.

The Terms applying to a purchase will not be changed retroactively in a way that removes rights already granted to you for that purchase.

Any dispute relating to these Terms, the website, or The Magic Systems Grimoire will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Namibia, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
